Installation Instructions
1.
Disconnect the electrical power supply and lock out the service panel for the existing fan.
2.
Remove the grille from existing fan.
Pull grille down to expose two springs. Squeeze each spring together and pull down again to release springs from motor plate slots.
3.
Remove existing blower motor assembly.
Loosen three existing Phillip’s head screws.  Slide blower assembly forward to center of slots.
When blower assembly is released from screws pull down on assembly slightly to expose motor cord. Unplug motor cord from receptacle. Remove blower assembly.
4.
Set existing blower motor assembly aside.
5.
Remove three (3) existing mounting screws from housing and discard.
6.
Remove three (3) new screws and white spacers supplied with you new fan upgrade kit.
7.
Install one spacer on each new screw. Install new screws into housing, in the same location of old remove screws. Do not tighten screws. Leave at least ½ inch gap.
8.
Check existing housing.
Vacuum the interior of existing fan housing with a dusting brush or something similar. Examine the housing to make sure it is secure and free of any hole caused by corrosion. The receptacle must be intact. If any damage is found, do not continue with installation of this product. Contact a qualified person(s) for repair.
9.
Install new upgrade assembly into existing housing. Position assembly into housing area to plug motor cord into the housing receptacle.
10.
Position assembly to align three new screws to slots in new motor plate. Insert new motor plate into housing. Push motor plate forward. (Plate should be positioned to be at the end of the slots) Hold motor plate and tighten three (3) new screws.
11.
Install existing grille. Squeeze one grille spring together and insert into the matching slot in new motor plate. Repeat with the second grille spring. Push grille into place against ceiling.
12.
Reconnect (turn power back on) electrical supply to the fan circuit.
NOTE:
To select which speed to operate your new fan.
Switch on motor plate has two positions.
One (1) dot equals 70cfm Two (2)dots equals 90cfm
